Compound Sentences and simple sentences

L.I to show an increasing knowledge of how range of text conventions can be used appropriately.
Today for writing we did compound sentences and simple sentence. The words were mixed around and we had to put it in the correct order.A simple sentence is like the train was late and a compound sentences are like joe waited for the train but the train was late.We had to colour the words in the right colour.
